Kathleen is a member of the Employment & Labor, School & Education, and Litigation groups. She works with both public and private employers on a broad range of legal issues, including advising them on compliance with state and federal employment discrimination laws, resolving issues regarding employee leave and employee discipline, and reviewing employment handbooks and policies. She regularly represents clients in front of administrative agencies such as the Maine Human Rights Commission and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Kathleen is a contributor to the School Law Advisory and a frequent presenter at seminars and trainings for clients on a variety of legal topics, including the Family Medical Leave Act, compliance with state and federal drug testing laws, and the First Amendment.
Kathleen is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis School of Law. While in law school, worked as an intern for the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri and served as an Editor for the Washington University Journal of Law and Policy, where she published an article regarding criminal justice and the Sentencing Reform Act.
