Maine’s Office of Marijuana Policy issued a Trip Ticket form today that all registered caregivers, registered dispensaries, testing facilities, and manufacturing facilities must use whenever they transport marijuana or marijuana products for medical use. Three copies of the completed form must be carried by the transporter of the marijuana or marijuana product. One copy is given to the party receiving the medical marijuana, the second copy must be given to a law enforcement officer if requested, and the third is kept by the transporting registrant for their records. Records must be maintained for a period of seven years.
If you have questions about the new trip ticket form or how to ensure your operation is in full compliance with applicable medical marijuana laws and regulations, please contact a member of Drummond Woodsum’s Licensing and Regulatory Compliance division.
